In celebration of National Robotics Week, the Silicon Valley Robot Block Party returns to the Volkswagen Automotive Innovation Lab @ Stanford on Wednesday, April 10 2013, from 1 to 6pm.
Come and see robots on display from Silicon Valley companies including the Robot App Store and RobotsLAB, representing the best in research, industrial and consumer robotics. Join in activities with robot clubs and STEM organizations. The Robot Block Party is co-hosted by CIS and Silicon Valley Robotics, with the assistance of Stanford Robotics Club and event sponsors.

Drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles, have an enormous capacity to facilitate classroom learning. Used primarily as research tools, drones are having an impact across many disciplines, from agriculture to engineering. This panel will feature prominent drone experts and educators who are taking advantage of drone technology in today’s classrooms.
Elad Inbar will discuss the usage of drones as a teaching-aid tool in math and science classromes. Drone expert and attorney Amie Stepanovich (Electronic Privacy Information Center, EPIC) joins the panel as a moderator to highlight the importance of teaching responsibility to future drone operators.
