The qbo_object_recognition app contains an implementation of a node capable of object recognition. It also contains another node used for “demo” purposes, in which one can ask the robot to identify or learn and object via voice commands.

Installation Instructions

Delivered as:

ROS Package

Build the stack and its dependencies:
git clone https://github.com/OpenQbo/qbo_object_recognition
rosmake --rosdep-install qbo_object_recognition

Usage Instructions

You can run orbit_client node directly:
rosrun qbo_object_recognition orbit_client

Or use the launcher in the launch folder to launch all the nodes necessary by the object recognition demo:
roslaunch qbo_object_recognition object_recognition_demo.launch
